This year the Indiecam team has decided to skip NAB, but don't worry we are travelling to the West coast to show our latest amazingly small solutions very soon. Come to Los Angeles and meet us at Cine Gear on the 31st of May and 1st of June!

indieASSIST: HD video assist for Arricam LT
As a result of the renewed demand for 35mm film cameras we developed the indieASSIST, a brand new HD video tap for the greatest film cameras. The system was received with excitement by 35mm enthusiasts and film veterans at IBC last September and it's fully supported and endorsed by ARRI themselves. The indieASSIST is shipping and Herman Verschuur from Cameramarket.eu who distributes the system is taking orders.

indieASSIST provides exceptional image quality for all crew on set, allowing to judge images far better than before. The high resolution images show true colours and have sharp, high contrast.
With a sensor of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the resolution of indieASSIST is noticeable higher than of conventional systems. The system works internally with 14 bit pixel depth and outputs HDSDI 4:2:2. It facilitates better judgment of the scene, including focus and actors, with high visible detail in shadow and highlight areas.

indieASSIST can output both 16:9 and 4:3 images. The system works for Arricam LT 2/3 perf as well as 4 perf cameras, as it can be modified with a step ring. It does not interfere with LT accessories and easily mounts with two captive screws onto the original mounting positions of the Arricam LT.

The system is powered from the Arricam LT internally and can be turned on and off with a power switch in order to save battery life. Power consumption is only 3.5 Watt, therefore the unit does not overheat even after extended usage. Compatible camera speeds are 29.97, 30, 48, 50, 59.94 and 60fps.

Other great features of the indieASSIST are: factory settings, several white balance presets, automatic and manual exposure control, flicker free operation and a simple user interface.
|
|
|
Moreover, we have introduced framelines, which can be remotely activated and adjusted. A centre mark can be activated as well as deactivated and the colour of the framelines can be changed.

|
nakedEYE s4 HDRi: custom system
Together with award-winning animation and visual effects studio Animal Logic we developed an efficient pipeline for automated, high dynamic range light probes back in 2016. Animal Logic used that system for the hybrid live-action/animated feature film Peter Rabbit. The film was a real success and that's why the decision of making a second part was made easily.

For the sequel we decided to take it to the next level and developed an even better HDRi system for Animal Logic. The nakedEYE s4 HDRi system doesn't only convince with its high resolution, but also its robustness and small form factor.
|
|
|
Due to improvements, handling on set got easier and faster. For example, the integration of ultra-short exposure times compensates the need of ND filters and the usage of a single SSD saves crucial time on location.
|
|
