Indiecam is delighted to be instrumental in the world’s first 360° film presentation designed to give visitors to Hohe Tauern National Park a breathtaking experience of its inaccessible summits. With its grand opening on June 12th, the film is projected in the latest HD technology and is housed in an innovative open space of 16 metres in diametre. This unparalleled film project communicates the experience of the protected plant and animal life previously only accessible to seasoned climbers.
“Our extensive research revealed that there is currently no similar project worldwide. Therefore we were forced to make their own recording equipment with twelve cameras on a ring, with which we can implement the filming in the outdoors,” says Managing Director of Vision Science, Dr. Michael Schlamberger.
Hohe Tauern is a National Park located in Austria’s Central region and is comprised of a vast and unique glacial landscape of unspoiled natural wonder. Indiecam is elated to be instrumental in this unprecedented video project conceptualized by Dr. Norber Winding, Head of Haus der Natur, and in collaboration with Andreas Zangl. Hohe Tauern’s highest peak is the majestic Grossglockner at 3000m. With its extensive time lapse recording, changing weather, light and shadow conditions, coupled with a spectacular soundscape, this film is not only the first of its kind, it delivers viewers the thrill of literally being on top of the world.
